IXPP Introduction (Irradiation Cross-Linked Polypropylene Foam)
IXPP (Irradiation Cross-Linked Polypropylene Foam) is a high-performance, closed-cell foam made from polypropylene (PP) through electron beam irradiation cross-linking. Compared to IXPE and other foams, IXPP offers higher heat resistance, lower density, and excellent recyclability.
Key Features:
- High Heat Resistance: Can withstand temperatures up to 120–140°C, ideal for engine compartments and high-heat environments.
- Lightweight: Low density contributes to automotive weight reduction.
- Strong Mechanical Properties: Excellent cushioning, compression resistance, and resilience.
- Eco-Friendly: Recyclable, low VOC emissions, compliant with REACH and RoHS.
- Chemical and Water Resistance: Resistant to oils, acids, alkalis, and moisture.
Main Applications:
1、 Automotive Industry:
- Door liners, seat cushioning layers, trunk liners, and flooring underlay.
- Engine compartment insulation and vibration damping.
- EV battery module protection.
2、Electronics & Home Appliances:
- Insulation pads, shock-absorbing packaging.
- Internal structural insulation for appliances.
3、Construction & Industrial Use:
- Thermal insulation, sealing strips.
- Pipe wrapping, HVAC system padding.
